Karl Belvedere studied painting and printmaking at Kansas University, where he earned a BFA in 2007. He then moved to Portland, Maine, where he learned to restore antique textiles and performed in burlesque and variety shows; routines that reflected his fascination with androgyny and transvestism. Currently residing in Kansas City, Missouri, Karl paints, writes and takes pictures.
